Santa Barbara City Council Votes on 100% Renewable Energy

For Facebook event page click here.

Twenty-nine cities in the U.S. have already set a 100% renewable energy goal including San Diego, Santa Monica, Palo Alto in CA, big cities like Atlanta and Portland and small ones like Moab, Utah and Abita Springs, Louisiana. Let's support clean energy jobs, less pollution, a more predictable, reliable and affordable energy supply. There are huge savings from energy efficiency measures and long-term benefits from solar and wind which have become cost competitive and predictable vs. fossil fuels like natural gas and coal that must be continuously mined and are subject to interruption and price hikes.

Come make a brief public comment, bring a "100% Clean Energy" sign, or show support with your presence.

Please also send an email  before June 6 to City Council members asking them to vote in favor of setting a 100% Renewable Energy goal:
