Join us to learn more about Community Choice Energy, a new way to get cleaner electricity to local homes and businesses and provide greater local control over how that electricity is sourced.
Existing programs in Marin, Sonoma, Lancaster, San Francisco and San Mateo County show that Community Choice Energy provides a wide range of environmental, economic, and community benefits. Locally, "Central Coast Power" is a consortium of local governments that has formed to explore a Community Choice Energy (CCE) program that could serve SLO, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
This is a free public forum, representatives from Community Choice programs from throughout the state will discuss their own programs, including renewable energy growth, local savings on electricity bills, greenhouse gas reductions, job growth, and other opportunities and challenges. Community members will have an opportunity to ask questions about what this program might look like in our community. Light snacks will be provided.
